President Donald Trump's Address to the 80th United Nations General AssemblySeptember 23, 2025

Thank you very much. Very much appreciated. Thank you.  
I

 It's a great honor to be with you all again at the United Nations General Assembly. I want to thank Secretary General Guterres for his leadership and for welcoming me back to this historic hall. And I want to say, from the bottom of my heart, that America is behind the United Nations 100 percent. I may disagree with it sometimes, but I am so behind it because I think the potential for peace for this institution is so great.  

 

 When I addressed this body four years ago, I spoke of a future built on sovereignty, strength, and mutual respect among nations. Today, in my second term as your President, I stand before you to reaffirm that vision. But let's be honest much of what we've seen from this organization in recent years has fallen far short of that potential. What is the purpose of the United Nations? All they seem to do is write a really strongly worded letter and then never follow that letter up.  

 In just seven months, my administration has ended seven unendable wars that were dragging on forever, costing trillions of dollars and countless lives. We did it through strength, through smart diplomacy, and through the unmatched power of the United States military. No President or Prime Minister—and for that matter, no other country—has ever done anything close to that. It’s too bad that I had to do these things instead of the United Nations doing them—and sadly, in all cases, the United Nations did not even try to help.  

 Look at what's happening in the world today. In Ukraine, Russia has invaded and occupied vast territories, but I believe Ukraine can win back all its land—in its original formwith the right support from Europe and the world. They should act now, while Moscow faces big economic problems. We will stand with Ukraine, but it cannot end militarily alone; it must end with a strong peace. And to our NATO allies, if Russian aircraft violate your airspace, shoot them down. Simple as that.  

 In the Middle East, we've seen progress toward peace like never before the Abraham Accords are holding strong, and we're closer to a deal that brings lasting stability. But some of our closest allies have recognized a Palestinian state, pushing a two-state solution that would be a victory for Hamas. Those nations should demand the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza first. Israel is fighting for its survival, and America stands with Israel 100 percent. No more endless aid without results. We've got to get the hostages out and secure the borders.  

 And let's talk about Gaza and the West Bank. The Palestinians need to come to the table, or they risk annexation. It's a green light for strength, not weakness. We've proposed a plan to Arab leaders to end this war—fair, tough, and final. No more funding terrorism disguised as humanitarian aid.  

 
 Now, on our southern borde and I mean everyone's borders we've secured America's like never before. Illegal crossings are down 95 percent since Inauguration Day. We're deporting criminals at record numbers, and we've built the wall higher and stronger. We've recently begun using the supreme power of the United States military to destroy Venezuelan terrorists and trafficking networks led by Nicolas Maduro—to every terrorist thug smuggling poisonous drugs into the United States of America. El Salvador's President Bukele is a hero for locking up our deportees in terrorist prisons. That's the model. Secure your borders, or lose your nation.  

 But this isn't just America's fight. Look at Europe your countries are going to hell. Invaded by a force of illegal aliens like nobody’s ever seen before. Open borders and energy policies are destroying Europe. The United Nations is funding an assault on Western countries and their borders. Migration isn't compassion; it's chaos. Weaponized mass migration is tearing societies apart. Close your borders, expel the criminals, or your nations will collapse. I praise leaders like Italy's Meloni and Hungary's Orban for standing up—they're saving their countries while others sleepwalk into disaster.  

 And don't get me started on energy. Climate change? The greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world. The scientific consensus was created by stupid people. If you don’t get away from the green energy scam, your country is going to fail.

 

 Renewables don't work they're unreliable, expensive, and a joke. China now produces more CO2 than all the other developed nations in the world combined, while lecturing us on the environment. Hypocrisy! The entire globalist concept of asking successful, industrialized nations to inflict pain on themselves and radically disrupt their entire societies must be rejected completely and totally—and it must be immediate. Use traditional energy—oil, gas, coal—drill, baby, drill. That's how you power prosperity. America is energy independent again, exporting to the world, and our economy is booming because of it.  

 

 

 America is blessed with the strongest economy, the strongest borders, the strongest military, the strongest friendships, and the strongest spirit of any nation on the face of the earth. We've cut taxes, unleashed our businesses, and brought manufacturing home. Unemployment is at record lows, wages are up, and inflation is tamed. We're rebuilding our cities, our infrastructure, and our alliances on

American terms.  

 

To the dictators and tyrants in this room: Your time is up. North Korea, Iran, Venezuela we see through your games. We'll negotiate peace from strength, but if you cross us, you'll regret it. To our friends: Join us in rejecting globalism's failures. Sovereignty first—always.  

 

The United Nations can be great again, but only if it lives up to its charter: peace through strength, not weakness through bureaucracy. Let's work together, nation to nation, for a world of free, prosperous, and secure peoples.
